I just came across the North Carolina RE3 project website and social media components and have to pass on my congratulations to the crew putting it all together and commend all of you to take a look at it. RE3 is positioned as 'a social marketing campaign to raise awareness about waste reduction and recycling.' For the traditionalists there is a website. But for those of you who want to get some ideas about how a blog might work to support a social marketing program, they have one up and going this month as well.
Then there's the MySpace site where you have to play Grandaddy Nature Anthem (my convenience sample confirms that the tune is infectious). Finally, the YouTube site features several videos on recycling - I like the Tag Recycle Commercial.
These folks look like they not only get it, but are having fun doing it as well! Some behavior change focus as the campaign matures will be appreciated (wink).

Thanks for the plug. Hopefully the demographic will pick up on the My Space and You Tube pages soon.
