The flagship for the field of social marketing, Social Marketing Quarterly, has changed ownership. SMQ was founded in April, 1994 and published for 11 years by Jim Lindenberger of Best Start, Inc with the sponsorship of The Department of Community and Family Health, College of Public Health at the University of South Florida.
The Academy of Educational Development will be the journal's new home and Greg Niblett, the Executive Editor said in his note: We hope the journal will continue to be a place where ideas and best practices are presented with a goal of nurturing and enhancing the practice of social marketing.
Thanks for the memories, Jim and good luck to Greg and his colleagues at AED in guiding the Quarterly through its next phase of development!
