A group of us were talking about behaviors that are important for developing strong bones among young girls to prevent osteoporosis later in life (PSA: consume lots of foods high in calcium and engage in regular sessions of weight-bearing physical activity - dancing, not bicycling). The question came up, as it often does when many different behaviors can contribute to preventing or protecting against a potential health risk: 'Can we promote more than one behavior or concept at a time?'
The answer came out pretty quickly: if they go together in the audience's mind. Pancakes without Aunt Jemima's syrup. Eating well and being more active gives me more energy. A day without orange juice... Cookies without the milk.
Nabisco is sponsoring a contest in June where consumers can send in videos of themselves singing the 'Oreo & Milk' jingle to support the release of a limited edition of Oreo Dunkers. Now if they were dancing while they performed it...
