Well, TypePad (the platform for this blog) was having problems most of Friday and it wasn't until Saturday that I had everything back up the way it was suppose to be [see Steve Rubel's blog, one of TypePad's more illustrious bloggers and a regular stop for me, for more information and a view of the day from the blogosphere - see the Comments section].
But all that commotion didn't keep the social marketing news from being posted at R. Craig Lefebvre's Social Marketing Blog. This week's features include a description of the 'Circle of Friends' fetal alcohol syndrome prevention project in Calgary, Canada; alleged shortcomingsof India's National AIDS Control Program including procurement and distribution problems with the condom social marketing effort; another (!) call for a social marketing program to address crystal meth abuse, this time in Long Beach CA; more coverage of the IOM's recommendation for a social marketing campaign to promote healthier food choices among children and teenagers; and three stories about the corporate use (or misuse?) of social marketing - you be the judge.
